The 14U Apex team took Gold 15U Challenge Cup after a number of challenges throughout the day. Pool play started off odd with a team missing. The Tigers decided to play EVP in an exhibition match since both teams would end up missing a game because of the missing team. The Tigers took the exhibition game 25-20, 25-15. After a quick break the Tigers played EVP for official and won 25-16, 25-22. Winning the game placed the Tigers first in their pool. For quarter finals the Tigers played Defensa Purple 14U; a team they've played a number of times. The tigers lost the first set 23-25 but the second set turned out better. Despite having a 17-22 score the Tigers were able to battle back and win the second set 26-24. The third set was won with the motivation they found in the second set 15-11. The Tigers Red 15U also won their pool and their quarter final which placed them against the Apex 14U in semi-finals. The 15U Red team put up a good battle but the 14U Apex did win 25-19, 25-20. Moving onto the Gold medal match against the Guelph Jr. Gryphons Red the Tigers won the first set 25-16. But Guelph didn't give up and took the second set 21-25.
