VDP Update – Check-in and payment

Hello everyone,

We have a large number of athletes registered for the Spring VDP (which starts on Saturday April 30 at Forest Heights).   To make things run smoothly, we are asking you to send someone to Forest Heights Collegiate next SUNDAY APRIL 24 between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to check in and confirm that their child will be attending VDP and also to pre-pay in cash the $100.00 fee.
We are doing it this way because we need to find out for sure just how many and who are going to attend VDP.  We always have some no shows on the first day but with so much interest in the program we want to avoid that completely.  Having everyone check-in on the 24th and pay at that time will give us very accurate numbers and help make the first day of VDP on April 30 go much smoother.  No long check-in lines - just drop your child off at the door!
Note: As of right now, the Board of Education does not want spectators until May 7.  Forest Heights has a large balcony which is very convenient for viewing.
I hope almost everyone can get to Forest Heights next Sunday.
We will have a table with several people in the main lobby in front of the gyms, which are right off the parking lot.
Thanks very much!

Tigers President

VDP Returning

VDP Returning!

Hello,
GREAT NEWS, FINALLY!!
The WRDSB, after 27 months, is once again allowing the public the use of their facilities, and for us that means  we can now use their gyms and can run our Spring Volleyball Development Program (VDP)!!

VDP will be held at Forest Heights High School and will start on Saturday April 30 and go until June 25, for a total of 8 weeks.  VDP will not happen on the May 21 Victoria Day weekend.  The cost will be $100.00 per athlete, payable in cash on the first day of the program.

We have a  large number of athletes pre-registered for Spring VDP - and it  will have to be run it in 3 separate 90 minute time slots, from 9.00-10.30; 11.00-12.30; and 1.00-2.30.   Athletes will be assigned to one of the three groups and it will be based primarily on age.  We will attempt to keep athletes in the same time group where they have requested it on the pre-registration.

IMPORTANT:
Many of you pre-registered for this months ago, and some of you by now will have made other plans.   So, please  email me ASAP if you are NO LONGER planning to attend our Spring VDP.   It will greatly help us in our planning.

Thank you.
Once our exact numbers are known we will email you as to what time your group is.

Thank you.

John Nelson,
Tigers President

VDP Sessions Postponed

Hello to all those interested in our Volleyball Development Program. Unfortunately, due to the school boards decision not to allow outside groups to book their gymnasiums, the Waterloo Volleyball Club is unable to host the VDP Session for Fall at this time and the Fall Session is POSTPONED.

Please check back to the website for updates on this situation as the province and school boards will update their COVID mandates in the future.

Thank you
Waterloo Volleyball Club
